Family Time
August 26th, 2010
Well once again my three days off come to an end and it is back to my
JOB. I don't know about you guys, but it seems to get more difficult
every week coming back to work. I had family down from Michigan this
week, my niece, nephew and their friend Joey. It was great to spend
time with them, I do not get to see them very often. My JOB tends to
get in the way of me doing exactly what I would like to do and when I
would like to do it.
We spent a couple days just hanging out by the pool and relaxing.
Yesterday we spent the day on the lake, it was a perfect Carolina day.
Being that it was a Wednesday and the kids are back in school, the lake
was like glass. After dropping anchor and swimming for awhile we hit
the Rusty Rudder, a little bar restaurant on the water. They have good
food, cold beer and live music. When we headed back to the dock the sun
was setting, it was a great day and my little one ask if we could stay
out here forever.
I would like to be able to accommodate him with his request, we do not
get to spend the time that we would like on the lake due to work. Just
one more reason why you should pursue an opportunity that will set you
free from work forever. I know that it is hard to wrap your mind around
that concept, but just try for a few moments.
Imagine what it would be like to have the money and the time to do
exactly what you want and when you want to do it. That is my goal and
my message to everyone, it will not happen overnight, but it will never
happen if you do not take action. Learn to dream again, I get angry
when I listen to people give me all of the excuses why they cannot
break free from their current situation. Anyone can do it, if they want
to. Stop making excuses why you cannot have the life you and your
family deserve and take action today.
To your health & wealth,
Mike Jones

What a Glamorous Job!
August 20th, 2010
I hear this all of the time and I cannot help but laugh, this job is
anything but glamorous. Take today for example, it is day one again for
me and I begin my day at 6:00am. Not much sleep due to the late night
thunder storms that rolled through. I rush to get out the door because
I know that the morning traffic will be bad. The entire way to the
airport it was pouring down rain and the traffic was stop and go.
Once at the airport, parking is always a challenge, you never know
which lot is going to be open. After attempting to park in long term 1
and 2 I had to settle for the more expensive daily lot. I make it to
the security check point only to be given grief by the TSA agent that
said I cut in line. I avoided the winding borders and waited behind the
only two people in this line, only to be scolded. Some of these guys
are just on a power trip, they like being able to give the pilots grief
and we have to just take it to a certain extent.
My first flight to work is full, so I run to my second choice, an
American Eagle flight that is running late because the flight crew
arrived late last night due to the weather. Great, now I call crew
scheduling to tell them that I will not be able to make my sign in, but
I should be able to make my departure time for my first leg, provided
we do not run any later. Again, I catch grief for not catching an
earlier flight. I have a long enough day already without getting up at
4:00am to catch the 7:00am departure. If I am lucky I will get into my
overnight about 11:00pm. That is a long enough day already!
Tomorrow will begin early as well, an 8:00am departure. It is usually
not too bad when I can at least sleep in a little bit on day 2 to
recover from day 1, but that is not the case this week. Hopefully, I
will at least have a good crew to fly with. This makes the week much
more tolerable when you are flying with a crew that works well together
and has a good attitude.
I have been working with many of my follow crew members to get them
started in their own business. Many of us are not happy with our jobs,
the pay is not what it should be and the hours are horrible. My web
site healthandwealthforpilots is now live, check out the
Nuriche tab. This is a new company that is really taking off, a friend
and fellow Captain invited me to be a part of this company and I am so
glad that he did. We are both interested in leaving this crazy airline
business and with a company like Nuriche and the timing that we are
getting involved it will be possible sooner than later. Take some time
to check it out and email me or call with any questions that you may
have.
To your health & wealth,

Another Monday
August 13th, 2010
Today is actually Thursday for most, but I am commuting into Chicago
for day one of another four day trip, so it is my Monday. Like most of
you, I hate Mondays as well, no matter what day it falls on. I think
about my family, my business and the goals that I have set for myself
and it keeps me going.
My business is going very well, I cannot say enough about the team of
people that I work with. Everyone is so motivated and determined to
reach their goals, no matter what they may be.
We all have different goals and want different things in life and that
is okay. I talk with a select few people that tell me that they like
their job and do not want to leave, so they think that a business is
not for them.
It is a good thing if you like your job, but there are so many
advantages from having a side business, no matter what your situation
may be.
You cannot pay off your debt too fast or pay that mortgage off too
soon. Prices continue to increase and most peoples paychecks are not.
We are also facing one of the largest tax increases that we have ever
seen this coming January when the tax cuts implemented by President
Bush expire and I do not think that the Obama administration is going
to renew the tax cuts due to the amount of debt that our country
facing.
The bottom line is that everyone needs to have a side business for one
reason or another, unless you want to continue to give a very large
portion of your paycheck away to the government. We already work almost
half of the year just to pay taxes, to me that is unacceptable. Take
some time to access your financial situation and set some goals or
revisit your goals and see where you are in your life and then devise a
plan that will get you where you want to be.
I would love to help you in your quest for financial freedom, just
email me at mike@healthandwealthforpilots or visit my website for
additional information on some of the opportunities that I am currently
involved in.

Airshow Weekend!
July 29th, 2010
This is the week-end for the big airshow in Rockford, Illinois. Last
year was the first year that my company allowed us to fly an aircraft
to the airshow. It was a huge success, we raised money for the USO in
Chicago, the Veterans group and promoted the company to over 200,000
attendees.
This year is expected to be even bigger and better, if you are anywhere
close by you need to come out to the Rockford airport this week-end to
check out the shows and all the different types of aircraft. Be sure to
stop by the American Eagle Regional Jet to say hello.
We will be giving aircraft tours and have maintenance personal that
will have the engine open for you to see just how everything works and
to answer your questions. It is going to be a great week-end for an
airshow! Hopefully, we will see you there.

Vacation Time
July 20th, 2010
I have never been one to vacation that much, I travel for a living , so
I really enjoy spending my time off at home. For fifteen years I was
either out of the country flying for the N.C. Air National Guard or on
a trip with the airlines. I had a small condo on the lake and even
though I enjoyed my time off, I was equally happy when I was gone
flying somewhere.
What a difference a few years can make! I have a house on the lake now
that is a little more labor intensive than my condo, but I enjoy the
privacy. There is no other place that I would rather be than just
hanging out at home with the family.
I was how ever talked into going on a camping/boating trip with some
of my wife's friends and family in Destin Florida. It was the first
vacation that I had been on since my honeymoon and it is so easy to
forget just how nice it is to just get away from everything.
I had no computer or cell phone coverage for most of the trip and it
was great! It was just a bunch of people getting together for some cold
beer and a good time. It was a large group, but oddly enough, no
complaining about work or anything else too heavy. Everyone just wanted
to relax and have a little fun.
We should all be able to take time just to get away, even if only for a
day or two. It really helps to clear your mind and put things back into
prospective. With my son getting older, I am looking forward to taking
more trips and just getting away more often.
I know that we are all busy and I am just as guilty as everyone else,
but try to take some time to appreciate life. Most of the time it seems
like everything is going to hell in a hand basket, it is like that for
most of the people that I talk to. That is why I took action years ago
to try to create a better situation for myself and my family.
If you are not where you want to be or would like more time with your
family you are definitely not alone! I am working with a great group of
successful people that are building a business that will pay huge
dividends for many years to come. It does not happen over night, but it
is happening.
If you would like to make a change just drop me a line anytime at
Mike@healthandwealthforpilots and I can explain some of the
opportunities that I am involved in that are changing my life. Also,
visit my web site at healthandwealthforpilots it has a lot of
great information as well.

New Challenges
July 14th, 2010
I started flying over 22 years ago and it is something that I still
enjoy to this day, I would just like to do it a little less. I remember
the feeling I had my first lesson, looking at that cockpit for the
first time and seeing what seem to be at the time, a lot of complex
instruments. It did not take long before everything started to come
together, the more that I flew the easier it got.
Since then, I have had several similar experiences, my first experience
in the military was an aircraft maintenance school. I knew very little
about aircraft maintenance, but I took the same approach that I took
with flying. When learning something that seems intimidating, never
look at the big picture. Take it one step, one day, one lesson at a
time.
After turning wrenches for a few years, I was kinda bored and really
wanted to fly, so there was a position open for a Flight Engineer on
the C-130 aircraft. I interviewed and got the position, the training
was long and intense. One year I would be gone for various schools and
training, it was difficult, but I did loved every minute of it.
I look back at the training that I have achieved and where I am today
and I am very great full, because it has given me the confidence to do
anything that I want to do. When I started my first business I knew
very little about real estate, but I knew that if I would take some
time and read and study everything that I could get my hands on and
talk with other real estate investors, I would figure it out.
I did learn a lot and I love real estate, I am an active investor
today. The business that has really started to fascinate and challenge
me is the network marketing business, direct sales, or MLM. It has many
names, but it is an amazing business. With just a little money, a
little knowledge and some help from your more experienced upline team
you can start to make a great second income really fast. You can even
replace your primary income, if that is your goal.
You have to be open minded and willing to learn, you should always be
looking for ways to improve yourself and your quality of life. When is
the last time you have challenged yourself, in anything? Put the remote
down a couple nights a week and learn something new, you might be
surprised where it could take you. Visit
healthandwealthforpilots for more information or email me at
any time at Mike@healthandwealthforpilots
